GRASSROOTS GRANTS PROGRAM

This year, 70 organizations across the U.S. with programs reaching those underrepresented in golf have been selected to receive funding through the Make Golf Your Thing Grassroots Grants Program.

In May of 2021, the golf industry collaborated to introduce a new Grassroots Grants Program (GGP) designed to help strengthen the game by making it more inclusive and accessible to all.

Facilitated through the American Golf Industry Coalition (a division of the World Golf Foundation), the GGP has awarded 318 grants totaling $3 million to 204 unique organizations since May 2021.

PURPOSE & FUNDING PRIORITIES: This Grassroots Grant Program supports charitable organizations that are dedicated to making the sport more accessible and welcoming to all, inviting people from all backgrounds and abilities to engage with golf.

New in 2025: Please note, we do not provide grants to organizations: (a) for event sponsorships, (b) brick-and-mortar requests, or (c) that currently receive significant support from leading golf organizations. The Committee provides preference to organizations that have 2024 revenues of $250,000 or less. However, organizations may submit an application if your revenues exceed $250,000.
